Everyone likes to feel they belong. We belong
to families, houses of worship, community groups, clubs and organizations.
In
1998, as Hicksville celebrated the 350th Anniversary of the Robert
Williams Land Purchase, an event that established “Hicksville”,
it seems even more important to take a permanent place in the
history of the community. We belong here!
The Hicksville Chamber
of Commerce is offering engraved pavers so you can become part
of Hicksville’s history and beautify
it at the same time… examples: Welcome Baby; In memory
of; Class of 2005. Projects such as these, foster business growth
in downtown districts and by nurturing our downtown, our community
will remain alive.
Engraved brick-style pavers are available
to individuals and businesses as a way to place you, or your
business, into the “heart” of
Hicksville – permanently.
When this community celebrates
it’s
next centennial celebration, many will look at these pavers
and know who was here and who helped this community to grow!
These
pavers will act as our personal reminders that communities are
made up of more than just businesses, there are people and lots
of memories. We hope you will be part of this project.
Pavers engraved with your own special message
of family name are available at a cost of only $100. A quantity
purchase of 3 or more pavers costs $100 dollars each for the
first two pavers and then $75 dollars each for the third and
any additional pavers. Please note that all stones much be purchased
at the same time to receive the quantity discount.
All orders for pavers must be mailed to the Chamber with a payment
enclosed. No orders are being taken via the website at this time.
