Dear Business Leaders:
The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce is holding its 22nd Annual BUSINESS EXPO on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Broadway Mall. The hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Last year’s EXPO was exciting, successful and it showed the community pride felt by those who do business in and around Hicksville.
The EXPO provides you with an excellent opportunity to display your products and/or services to the shoppers at the Mall that day. Increased name recognition, possible leads in future sales and community involvement are just some benefits from participating.
Since the number of booths is limited and booth location will be assigned on first come first service basis, we urge you to act today. Use this excellent opportunity to exhibit your company’s products and services.
Please review the rest of this webpage, and print out and in fill in the application. Return it as soon as possible with your check made out to the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call the Chamber office at 931-7170.
Once again, we look forward to your participation. Don’t be left out – respond now to this exciting and important invitation.
James Pavone, President of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce |

| BUSINESS EXPO 2008……It Makes A Difference |
| INCREASED NAME RECOGNITION |
| EXPO 2008 will give you an ideal opportunity to meet many of your future customers "face to face" in an informal setting. They get to know you and your products and/or services. The EXPO presents a first - class, public relations opportunity. |
| EXPOSURE |
| Your Company will be featured, along with other exhibitors, in an advertising campaign. |
| BUILDING A MAILING LIST |
| By offering a drawing for a booth prize, you can ask the customer to complete a card with their name, address, phone number and email. Those names become your mailing list of interested customers. Your investment is insignificant compared to the hundreds of dollars you would have to invest in purchasing an up-to-date, custom-made mailing list. |
| MARKET RESEARCH |
| You can conduct a survey that asks customers about their needs, buying habits and interest in your product/service area. Offer them an inexpensive gift for completing the survey. |
| CONSUMER EDUCATION |
| Is your product or service new or unique? EXPO 2008 is a great place to demonstrate what's special about your business. |
| GENERATE LEADS |
| Ask booth visitors if they need your booth product or services. These questions should be included as part of the information collected on your survey or prize drawing cards. |
| COMPETITOR ANALYSIS |
| Your competition will be at the EXPO 2008 too! Take this time to visit their booth(s). Notice how the public is responding to their materials. How does your business compare in price, advertising, material, staff presentation style and their ability? |
| NETWORKING |
| Running a small business can be a lonely and awesome responsibility. It doesn't have to be. Other owners of small businesses can be great resources to you...and you to them. You will get to know them at EXPO 2008. |
| HICKSVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUSINESS EXPO 2008 |
Join the members of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to be part of a “Community Scavenger Hunt” to find reputable businesses in the area. Make your booth interesting so each and every visitor will stop at your booth to find out about you and your business and, as a bonus, a chance to win a prize for doing so. This is a win – win opportunity for everyone.
Businesses, including retail, service, professionals and non-profits, will be available to answer questions, display their “wares” and educate the consumer.
The Annual BUSINESS EXPO is sponsored by The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce and hosted by the Broadway Mall, so there is no charge for the consumer to attend. Another bonus for you.
In previous years, participants have introduced themselves and their companies to thousands of visitors. In addition to helping the consumer make educated choices for their purchases and needs and making them aware of the many businesses right in “their own backyard,” participants developed a network of local professionals and other small businesses.
THIS IS YOUR PERSONAL INVITATION TO JOIN US IN 2008. |
