DANIELLE VALENTINO
Danielle has been instrumental in developing a volunteer tutoring service to help middle school students whose families struggle financially and cannot afford an individual tutor. She has taught the students how to properly study and organize themselves. Presently Danielle is training others to become tutors in order to expand the program.
Danielle has also volunteered for several years as a group leader with Special Olympics and has helped raise funds for various local non-profit organizations.
Danielle is currently deciding between Adelphi and Molloy as she pursues a career in nursing or teaching.
ALLISON OSMUNDSEN
One of Allison's favorite organizations for which she volunteers is Last Hope. They are dedicated to saving abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs. Over the years Allison has provided foster care to kittens until they could be permanently adopted. She has also adopted one herself.
For the past 4 years Allison has volunteered her services to both Special Olympics and the Empire State Games for the physically challenged.
Through the Trinity Lutheran Youth Group she travelled to Buffalo to provide various home repair services to families who were struggling financially.
Allison will be attending Cortland in pursuit of a career in the medical field.
